Become a CPA PEP facilitator or session leader

Contribute to the success of the accounting profession by training future CPAs as a facilitator or session leader in the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP).

Research has shown that the quality of instructors and reviewers is one of the key deciding factors in the success of any student.

Our profession requires qualified session leaders and facilitators to guide candidates through the CPA PEP and help them achieve success.

What’s involved

  • Session leaders teach the mandatory two-day (usually Saturday and Sunday) face-to-face module workshops.
  • Facilitators are responsible for reviewing and providing feedback on candidate module assignments and for timely responses to candidates’ questions.

To become a session leader or facilitator, you must:

  • be a CPA, Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified General Accountant (CGA) member in good standing
  • have an undergraduate degree and a strong interest in accounting education

Session leaders must also have previous in-person teaching experience. Preference will be given to those with experience in facilitation. To become a facilitator, you must participate in the mandatory, uncompensated Facilitator Training Program.

Put your skills, knowledge and expertise to work in helping to train the next generation of outstanding CPAs. Contact your provincial/regional CPA body for full application details as well as dates and locations of Session Leader/Facilitator Training Programs in your area.
