Collaborative research opportunities at CPA Canada

CPA Canada is commissioning research in a number of key areas important to the Canadian and global accounting profession. Learn about the specific research opportunities available and how you can get involved.

CPA Canada is seeking partners and sponsors for various research projects – you can download a full description of the individual calls for research below.

CPA Canada will provide financial as well as in-kind support to maximize the impact and influence of the research, including the establishment of an expert steering group for major research projects.

The resultant research and related reports will be the property of CPA Canada and used  to inform strategic projects identified as part of CPA Canada’s Foresight:  Reimagining the Profession initiative, including the work of the 2021 CPA Competency Map Task Force.  The results from the research projects will be widely disseminated across CPA Canada’s network domestically and internationally.

RESEARCH PROPOSAL CONTENTS

The following information should be included in the research proposal:

  • why you believe you or your research team are well suited to undertake the research
  • research plan including methodology, relevant data sources, and use of technological tools
  • time required to complete the project as well as estimated costs
  • previous experience in the area of research
